About Rachel Waterman-Smith

I was pursuing a degree in Elementary Education when I stumbled across massage. I was bored with the core curriculum classes that came with my degree and just wanted to take a “fun class.” Slowly it went from one “fun class” to the next when suddenly the teacher turns to me one day and says, “Rachel, have you realized yet that you’re not a teacher but a massage therapist?” Well, I guess I hadn’t really thought about it, but I knew she was right. I graduated from Lansing Community College with a Certificate in Massage Therapy in December of 2003.

Just before graduating I had already started massaging clients out of my home and other peoples’ homes. This lasted for a little while, and then in March of 2005 I officially opened my business within a chiropractors office. Now, here I am in my current space. I am also licensed with the State of Michigan.
